Scholastic’s new You Are What You Read campaign is asking readers to post their Bookprint: the five books that have most influenced their life. Neil Degrasse Tyson weighed in with Sir Isaac Newton’s Principia Mathematica, Galileo’s Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems, and Stephen Jay Gould’s The Measure of Man, among others. Ms. Carossino chose Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret, Pride and Prejudice, Professor Wormbog and the Search for the Zipperump-a-zoo, Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle’s Magic, and the Bible.
What five books would you choose? Post your answers in the comments below.

Ashley: The first book you ever loved so much you couldn’t put it down should definitely be on your list of 5 Most Influential books. I chose Mercer Meyer’s Professor Wormbog for the same reason. It was the first book to really make me love reading, one I reread over and over. There have been plenty of books since that I’ve loved that much, but it marks the moment I first realized it was possible to love books and reading. That’s a big moment! Without it, I probably wouldn’t be a reading teacher today.
the types of books that i like are averture/scary horor books. my favorite 5 influent books well I cant really choos but my favorite book ever is nightworld its about vampires and i recamend this book for everyone this was the 1st book that i read that i could stop reading i read this book from wen i got up til i went to bed and even then i was still reading. and that is probly my #1 influent book:)
The series of unfortunate events because it reminds me how good my life is. It could always worse. That’s the only one I know so I guess I have to do more reading.
